Autumn Approaches

I’ve been reading the Digital Photography School web site for a bit now, and they have some really great stuff over there, especially for the new photographer. I’m not new, but I’ve learned some stuff and have had a few things refreshed by combing through their archives. For example, I have a maternity shot coming up, and they have several articles that address this very issue.

One article I liked, I think because fall is right around the corner, is their advice on how to capture fall colors. It begins with a gorgeous photo that any photographer would have been proud to have taken. So, I’m inspired to take some shots this autumn. Until then, I’ve posted this shot from 2007 taken in my front yard. Be sure to check out that gallery.

I also found Rosh Sillars’ blog, New Media Photographer. In a recent post, he discusses the importance of blogging for photographers. These things I know and understand, but I need to make an effort to do them more. My goal is to get higher up on Google search results for Macon photographers. Right now, I can’t even find myself, though some very good and deserving photographers are at the top of the list. I plan to be among them soon, though that task seems daunting.

Thank you for mentioning new media photographer.
I’ve also learned a lot from digital-photography-school and I’ve been in the business of twenty years. I’ve also received a lot of traffic. It’s a good place for photo bloggers to hang out.

I wish all the success with your new blog.
