Today was the regional Science Olympiad at Macon State College. Chris asked David and I — as he usually does — to facilitate and judge the “Write It Do It” competition.
Basically, we make a crazy model out of craft stuff. One group of students does their best to describe the object and write instructions on how to reproduce it from the raw parts. The second group of students — you guessed it — builds the object. David and I then judge the final product by look-and-feel and other specific details.
I think this year we made it a bit too easy, since most of the teams did well. Check out my gallery of writers and doers.
