Crossroads 2011

Once again, I was the official photographer for the 2011 Crossroads Writers Conference and Literary Festival in Macon, GA. The festival is organized by my friends and colleagues, and they always do such a great job bringing talent, both local and national. They are always so grateful to me, too, for volunteering my time. I’m happy to do it. For one, I get to promote my first love even more in Central Georgia: literature. (You know that’s my day job, right?) For another, I get to meet such great people — like Robert Venditti, Michael Mejia, Adam Mansbach, Idris Goodwin, and Emilie Bush — and rekindle acquaintances from the last Crossroads — Jack McDevitt, Nathan Edmondson, Ad Hudler, and Josephine Bennett. The only thing that I wish is that there were more hours in the weekend.

My thanks to Heather, Chris, and Kelly for again asking me to be a part of the Crossroads conference. I’m always glad to help.

See my Crossroads 2011 galleries for many more images of the weekend. See another selection of photos on Facebook and Google+; be sure to follow me on both. If you were at the show and you don’t see a particular photo, ask me: @grlucas.

See you next year!
