Yesterday was Father’s Day and it might have been one of the hottest days we’ve had so far this year here in central Georgia. It was 105° F in the middle of the day. So naturally, this is when we met Brandi and Shane for their engagement session. Yes, we have such good timing.

Well, despite the heat, we got some good photos. They even brought their little girl Madison along to help and to share some of their lens time. Here’s a sample:

Oh, and a Happy Fathers Day to all of you fathers out there.

Since the weather is beginning to show hints of fall, we decided to meet with Allen and Amber for their engagement session. They chose the park that runs along the Ocmulgee, and I think the session went well. They were excellent models.

We look forward to shooting their wedding, if they are so inclined.

Yesterday began very cold and bleak. It was in the twenties as I made my way to Panera for some morning reading and coffee. I remember thinking that the morning’s freezing haze might be a bad thing for our scheduled afternoon engagement shoot with Rudy and Christian. By the time 2pm rolled around, the clouds were beginning to show some blue and the sun was emerging from the gloom.

We began in Washington Park before moving to Mercer Law School. Even though it was cold, I think we managed to get some great shots (gallery link on left). Congratulations to Christian and Rudy; I look forward to your wedding in March. Let’s hope we have good weather.
