Installation of a Ceiling Fan

A Group Project by

Ceiling fans are an energy saving investment that also adds beauty and elegance to a home. A properly directed fan can have cooling or warming effects. With a ceiling fan in a home the thermostat can be set to a higher setting without sacrificing comfort.

A ceiling fan uses about the same amount of energy as a 100-watt bulb.

When selecting a ceiling fan match the fan size to the room. The fan should have a minumum ceiling height of a least seven feet. The most effective models have three speeds and reversible motors. The Hunter Fan Company, recommends a 32-inch Fan for rooms up to 62 square feet, a 42-inch fan for rooms up to 144 square feet, and a 52-inch fan for rooms up to 400 square feet.

Operate a ceiling fan only when the room is occupied because ceiling fans serve to cool the body and do not actually cool a room

Installation of a ceiling fan is simple. Just follow the steps and you will have your fan in operation.
