Read one of these essays from Across Cultures: Amy Bruckman “Christmas Unplugged” (409) Tomotuki Iwashita “Why I Quit the Company” (194) or any selection from Chapter 8: Popular Culture Compare your selection with the issues in technology that we have been discussing all semester. Does the selection look at technology in a positive or negative way? Find a classmate that has read the same selection and discuss your ideas with that person. Compare your ideas to those we discussed in Thursday’s class about “Footbinding.” You and your partner should post your ideas to Littalk. This means that you and your partner will have to write one informal responce to your selection that synthesizes both of your ideas. You may quote from the text, but do so sparingly. (250 words)
