All grades will be based upon thoroughness, depth of insight, and precision. At the end of the semester, this portion of your grade will be determined by the percentage of daily assignments for which you have received credit. For instance, if you are assigned twenty informal writing assignments and you received an 8 out of 10 points credit for all of them, then you would receive a grade of 80 (80%, or 160 out of 200 possible point) for that portion of your final grade. Each of the projects will be worth 100 points maximum. In addition to looking for thoroughness and insight, I will be looking for a clearly stated main idea and ample evidence to support this main idea. I will also expect these projects to be free of grammatical and spelling errors. Your participation in group activities both in-class and at a distance will be weighed heavily in evaluation. Since writing is an on-going process, participation, effort, and attitude will count as much as written work. Your final grade will be based on the following percentages:
