2 Configuration

You may configure many services to run on your lab’s server, but to get the server working initially as the server for your room, there are some integral services that must be started and some that should be turned off. This section details the basic configuration of your server and workstations in your Linux classroom or lab. Once these services are running, you do not need to add anything else, though many choose to use a web server or a mail server, for example.
