Hobbies

Going to school and working full-time provide plenty of excitement for my life, but every once in a while, I manage to find time for relaxing. This page is dedicated to everything I like to do that will not account for much on a résumé.

My first passion is music. I have always relied on music to drown tears, soothe a broken heart or jam out in the car. My favorite artists, in order, are as follows: The Beatles, Sublime , Sheryl Crow, Widespread Panic , and Everclear. Unfortunately, I can never see the Beatles or Sublime in concert.

I am addicted to the rush of adrenaline. Wakeboarding has become my drug of choice. I am self-taught and bought my first board from Play it Again, Sports on Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. So far, I have only ripped the waves of Lake Tobesofkee but I have gotten some killer air and am quite anxious for spring so I can ride the wake again.

I also enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, Cory; talking on the phone with my best friend, Alison; and going shopping with my boyfriend's sister, Cindy. I also love to play with Cindy's children; William will be three on January 5th and Benjamin is seven months old.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. Watching sports is just as great now that I am out of high school and have no access to a softball team. My favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs, my favorite college football team is the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets even though they sucked this year, and I enjoy keeping up with college volleyball and graduated Tech players trying to make their mark on the professional level.

This sun is the album art from Sublime's breakthrough album, "40 oz. to Freedom." In my opinion, this album was their best effort. Sublime's lead singer, Bradley Nowell, died of a heroin overdose before the release of their biggest commercial success, "Sublime."
