"Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men's blood...Make big plans, aim high in hope and work." This quote by Daniel Burnham accurately describes the approach I take to life: to aim high. Throughout my life I have always tried to do my best, to set high goals and achieve them. I am making big plans, and I am aiming high.

I was born and raised in Tampa and attended private school until the 10th grade. Beginning 10th grade, I attended Vivian Gaither High School where I excelled academically, becoming salutatorian of the class of '97. During my high school years, I completed research projects dealing with secondary smoke and had my research published in a professional environmental newsletter in 1996. Along with academics, I ran track, cross country, and participated in many extracurricular activities. I graduated from Gaither on June 6, 1997, with plans to attend the University of Florida. In the fall of 1997, I began my college education at the University of Florida, majoring in chemical engineering with plans to attend medical school. I will be a junior in the fall of 1998.
